We Prevailed

People, we have won the war. The mission is accomplished.
Since the last 2 weeks there had been preempted and unprecedented attack in our apartment from Fruit Flies. They had strong hold in my room and the kitchen. Me and Ankit launched a continuous attack from the last 2 days. The strategy was to starve them to death and prevent more recruitment. Massive air power was used in the battle. The state –of-art vacuum cleaner was put in to strategic position to suck all the flies in and eventually killing them.

There have been few guerilla attacks but they were quickly defused with sheer hand power.

This is the moment of triumph and me and Ankit promise that such an incident will not occur in the future where we were forced to use such drastic steps. We will take preventive measures to keep the situation under control.

Peace!

Update

So I haven't posted for months now for various reasons. I was too busy, I was travelling half way around the world and most improtantly I just didn't want to share some thoughts I was having in the period. However, on public demand; I am updating.

A word on California:
"California was nothing like I have ever seen before. People were liberated, independent, full of new ideas and women were beautiful."
-I stole this from the movie 'Blow'

Then I was India for almost a month. We had a huge family get together which was great. I also went to Manipal to visit Rahul. I realized what I am missing studying in the US. Trips to panwala, roadside food, travelling ard on bikes. but most importantly I have missed the people! Manipal was a big 'reverse' cultural shock to me. I can go on and on about that, but in the end I am very glad I made a trip there to experience all that. And, Rahul took really good care of me, Thank you Rahul.

Now back in Ohio, I moved into a new apartment with Ankit. Yay! We tried to move in and settle as fast as possible. But 'fate' had it otherwise. There was no gas so no hot water, no gas stove and no cooking. They discovered theres a leak in the pipes so people came to repair it. Still not fixed, still no gas :( We go to RPAC to take shower, Ankit goes to Sonal's place, and as I planned to, we can't cook. I cannot stand this disgusting food anymore. In california I had 100s of options, Ohio ofcourse is not california and cooking is the best option. So all in all, it sucks right now.

So I think that is a very good update, now I just hope I don't crazy ideas and thoughts that I cannot share and so I'll update regularly!

Where am I?

Where am I in this land?
Colors different of both mud and sand,
Music playing of an unknown band

Where am I in this sea?
Tastes like not salt but bitter tea,
Where do I look, what do I see?

Where am I in this air?
Birds flying not in a herd but in a pair,
I am so blinded with this glare

Where am I? Where do I stand?

Your Siblings Make You Who You Are.

Your parents raised you. Your spouse lives with you. But it's your brothers and sisters who really shaped you.

This is the cover story on Time magazine and I really want to read it because I think its very true!! I think my bro and sis have had a substantial amount of influence on my personality and the way I think. Infact not a long time ago (few weeks probably) I was thinking about this topic- don't ask me why, I just was, I had this thought in my mind too- my siblings have really influenced me!! More so because I was the youngest.

My crazy hair style was influenced by my sister?
Craziness-result of bhaijaan.
So, now we know who to blame when I do something wrong! :-P
