Lake Tahoe.

My cousin took me to Lake Tahoe this weekend. I had really never heard much about it except that its one the purest lake in the world. So everything was a suprise to me like when I go watch a movie and don't know what to expect. And it was complete FUN!Driving in California is a complete pleasure!Unlike flat Ohio, you get to see the ocean, hills, mountains and even wind mills!

I am convinced the whole 'are we there yet' scene in Shrek 2 was based on my bhatiji Avni!

Isn't that just breath taking? A lake surrounded by mountains!

People come to Lake Tahoe mainly for sking and snow boarding. We were probably one of the few tourists there. And that sucked, coz all these people were soo passionate abt their sking and everyone was in their gear that I really felt like we should know sking coz thats what the place is meant for. So I decided to take 3 hour sking lessons right there! That was soo much fun, i fell a couple of times but in the end I could come down a small hill with a little turning and stopping only by falling, ha. But I have decided that I am going to learn sking properly someday and go with all those people up the mountain and ski down! We even did snow mobilingWe even sneaked on Pranay....

AND Gaurav Bhaiya took to me to a Casino, my first visit to one. They have that coz we went to the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe where all the fun stuff is legal ;) You can even bring drinks with you on the road! Anyways, they weren't checking IDs so I gambled and lost $6. I was playing on the 1 cent slot machine! haha, thats typical Adip style after all! But Gaurav bhaiya won a net of $41- so that was good.
Yup, we did ALL that in just one weekend!

its over, it begins!

END of winter quarter! Though this year's winter was a mild winter, I am still glad its over! And now I am soo looking forward to spring quarter that I am sometimes afraid I am expecting too much! But its going to be Spring and sun shine and Social Dance 2!!

And the break in between I will be in the beautiful country of California! And that reminds me....I was suppose to fly on Friday and got all my tickets done and everything was working out. And when I was mailing my flight details to my cousin, it happened yet again. The itinerary said I was flying on thursday not friday....Now I have been known to read wrong dates and time with my flights. Infact I missed my flight from India exactly ard this time of the last year because of this. And worse, I am known in my family for this and so when my cousin in texas mis-read her time once, she told me she did a 'adip'. HA! What is it though? Like, can't I read numbers or something? its funny and irritating at the same time....I feel extremely stupid!
And I will be missing Bombay Dreams which is coming to Columbus and for which I had the tickets arranged too....SIGH!

Beer Contains Female Hormones

Yesterday, scientists for Health Canada suggested that men should take a look at their beer consumption, considering the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer.

The theory is that drinking beer makes men turn into women.

To test the finding, 100 men were fed 6 pints of beer each.
It was then observed that 100% of the men gained weight, talked excessively without making sense, became overly emotional, couldn't drive, failed to think rationally, argued over nothing, and refused to apologize when wrong.

No further testing is planned!
