Getting the Priorities Crooked

I can't get to install flash on my computer, this life in this world has got so boring.

I can't get my wireless router working in my 1 bedroom apt (bathroom attached), these world's problems are getting on my nerves.

I can't order proper food at restaurants (Ankit's input), the world is getting meaning less really.

SIGH!

Freaking Winter.

Its been a mild winter till now. On thursday it was nice outside with high 50s. I was really hoping we could get away with a mild winter this year....since I have heard that did happen a couple of times in history. But amazing ohio weather......within 2 days the temperature plunged to 0 degrees F. If you read temperatures in Celsius, It was freaking -18 degrees C (don't miss the minus sign) with the cold harsh winds.

When I was in Bombay, I used to almost crave for winter weather. And all my wishes were fullfilled when I first saw snow fall and everything turned white. So I don't really hate winter weather but its a complete bitch when it comes to food. Yes food.....coz firstly I consider it a pain eating or filling up my stomach with disgusting american food and on top of that cold winds slap my face punishing me for it. Further my choices are limited to only certain distances I can walk in the winter.

Its forcasted that the weather will remain this horrible through the week.....
YUK, I am not looking forward to the week at all.

Valentine style.

"In the Netherlands, touching strangers, even just a friendly hand on the shoulder in the pub, is a big no no, as is approaching or complimenting a stranger in the street. You have eye contact and the ladies approach men, men don't approach ladies."

"The British male is either reticent, tongue-tied and awkward, or boorish and crass, and he usually consumes too much alcohol. English male flirting tends to be very circuitous, and involves a lot of insults rather than compliments. 'silly cow' can really be a term of endearment."

"Frenchmen are less sexually obvious, there is less banter and they are more direct. They'll say cheesy things like 'you have really nice eyes'
It's also perfectly acceptable in France for men to walk up to a stranger in the street and ask them to go for a coffee, even at the risk of being knocked back."

"In Sweden visitors may be deceived into thinking that flirting does not exist, since two strangers rarely exchange glances, a wink or a telling smile.
But come the weekend, Swedes, both men and women, let loose. Don't expect sophisticated romance though, as it's not unusual for an inebriated Swede to immediately ask the woman who has caught his eye if she wants to have sex."

"In Italy where men and women embrace with ease at each meeting, foreign girls can be seen as fair game by young Italian males, often frustrated by long, traditional courtships with their Italian girlfriends.

Even though bottom-pinching may now be a thing of the past, women sitting on their own in a Rome cafe are likely to attract more than one rowdy "Ciao bella!" and could find it hard to shake off their unwanted beau."

Ladies-

Do you want some Italian style attention? Some French romance? Or just bad ass British spanking?

Just call me, Amsterdam style!

Pakistan Hai Hai.

I want to watch a India-Pakistan cricket match in a stadium and cheer for India and shout our anti-Pakistan slogans after seeing this pic. Isn't this a cool pic?

Indian cricket fans yell at a Pakistani policeman as he sits in the crowd during India-Pakistan one-day match at Lahore.

GALI GALI MAIN SHOR HAI-
PAKISTAN CHOR HAI.

Great Gomateswara

Jains pay obeisance to the 58.8 foot statue of Gomateshwara in Shravanabelagola. Hundreds of thousands of Jain devotees will attend the head anointing ceremony on February 8th of 1,800-year-old statue Jain sage Gomateswara (Lord Bahubali) at Shravanabelagola, which is held once in 12 years, a tradition that began in 981 AD.

Why Did I Put This Up? I mean I am not even the religious type...

Curled week.

I entered this week with absolute boredom. I had very little to do- even in my classes, since all my midterms were done but everyone around me had midterms. But then the week took a turn on tuesday and Ankit and me frantically went around looking for housing next year. I didn't want to stay alone this time. Its just boring. After all man is a social animal, ha. We went to see this town house which had 2 bed-rooms but 3 levels. It was huge, with basement and large kitchen. Both of us were sold to that house after we saw it. The rent seemed decent too. But it was competing against this another place that was cheaper. And Ankit's mom saw that we would be better off with the cheaper one.

If anyone wants to have a nice laugh, try going to www.dreammoods.com and interpret your dreams with your friends around. Thats what Ankit, Pradeep and me did on wednesday night. We were sitting there reading some interpretations for almost like 1 and half hours. Try 'paralysed' on the website- its a laugh riot! Oh, but we did interpret that Ankit has deep emotional problems with girls. Thanks Mala (my niece) for suggesting the website. Mala please keep recomending such websites that you so often come across!

Another turn and thursday turned out to be really frustating. I had to do a stupid bio-lab. I simply hate Bio. No matter if its just Bio 101. And I had to write a 2 page paper comparing earth worms to crabs. It just made me completely frustated.

Friday had the biggest curve in the week. It started off with bio-lab (useless). Then I just skipped my bio class and went with ankit to sign the lease for our apartment. After all the formalities, me and ankit are officially room-mates for next year. We felt like celebrating and we sure did! On our way back, we bumped into Radhika, Deepa and Namrata and we had a nice chit-chat. Then later in the night me, ankit and robbie (Williams, ha) were going to this house party by BKG. We didn't expect much....but we wanted to celebrate some how, so we went. It was by far the most diverse party I've ever been to. Sure, majority were indians, party being hosted by BKG but there were asians, african americans and whites and I think I might have seen a couple of Mexicans too! We were just going ard the house in the begining, meeting people and trying to find familiar faces(looking for girls!). Then we.....danced and danced and danced. The music was terrible but who cared.....right Ankit? ;) Later we headed towards abhishek and shrenik's apartment....they were having a party there too. We are actually moving into that same apartment next year. So it was a true celebration at 'our' apartment. We called it a night at 4:30 am.

That nice curve of friday was still curving on through saturday. My legs hurt from dancing soo much but we were already planning to go this another party that night at Parag's place! That party was just ok. No one was really dancing, and I knew only a few people there.
So that was my curley week! This week might be a little hectic but there are already party invitations for the week-end and its not even spring yet, ha.
