Great Gomateswara
Jains pay obeisance to the 58.8 foot statue of Gomateshwara in Shravanabelagola. Hundreds of thousands of Jain devotees will attend the head anointing ceremony on February 8th of 1,800-year-old statue Jain sage Gomateswara (Lord Bahubali) at Shravanabelagola, which is held once in 12 years, a tradition that began in 981 AD.Why Did I Put This Up? I mean I am not even the religious type...
