Khuni aatma ka khuni baya punja

February 4th, 1995, on a chilly winter morning in Roorkee, the house wakes up to find a trail of blood. Trail of blood in a town not far away from Muzaffarnagar- a city synonymous with crime. While the elders try to ignore and get on with life, the young ones search around for an answer. Whose blood was it? Where did it come from? Who is behind this? Could it be PUNJABO? [women shreiks]

To find out more watch Khuni aatma ka khuni baya punja

The 'Gunna Squad' searches for answers on a trail of blood

Now, after watching a 11 year old video you will realize that I haven't changed much. Ya, ok, I have glasses now, thats it.

Shri Ganesh

I finally got my camera! its Canon SD 450 and I love it. Now the picture below is one of the firsts and its not all that great coz there was a metal gate in front of it. Camera ka 'Shri Ganesh' karne ke liye, what could be a better picture. See the picture only if you are open minded and may be have a vulgar sense of humor.

Heres another one for folks who didn't notice in the first one.

Some people might find this offensive, some might find it funny and some may find it interesting.
I felt all of the three when I first saw this sitting in front of a shop on my way to class. When I first noticed- I was like- wtf!? How can they do that!
But then a second later, I had a smirk on me and actually found it funny!
I gave it a little thought and realized that its actually pretty interesting. I mean, Ganeshas have been depicted playing tablas, playing cricket and even dancing. All these have tried to depict Ganpati bappa as more human. So, I thought, this is one of the human qualities too that Ganpati has been depicted in.

Blogging from Berkeley

Its been about a day since I have been here and I am already loving it. The campus is really beautiful and soo unlike OSU....its hilly....but that has its cons too. The apartment I am staying is near campus but I have to go uphill to get to classes and that really gets tiring!! That means, I can workout my calf muscles which I have none!

There are literally 100s of food places. That very fact makes me love this campus! Anything from italian to indian to korean....I can try it all without repeating it in the same week! Yay!!! And recently I got to know that Berkeley is against big corporates, so there are no Mc Donalds/Wendy's and other chains near campus. Or even Walmart i am told is quite far away, so thats why there are sooo many small mom-pop restaurants and stores around....Against big corporates? Emily, you'd love this place!!

My room-mate, Scott is great too. He showed me around campus and introduced me to his friends. I am getting to eat a lot of Korean, Japanese and Chinese food. I got to eat authentic home-made Korean food from Scott's girl friend, Jane. I think any home-made food tastes great!!! And today they took me to a sushi place. Sushi is my new favorate now.

I WISH I could post pictures, but since I don't have a camera I can't take any....and for this very reason I am going ahead and buying a camera so I can have some sweet pictures for memories!
Any suggestions for a good point and shoot camera?

Mes del cumpleaƱos (Month of the Birthday)

I have been thinking about updating my blog since my birthday....and I came up with stuff too, to write about, then I thought I should upload pictures but I have to get pictures from like 5 different people and I have been too lazy in doing soo....but now I am finally going ahead and updating with out pics.

My 21st was celebrated with 2 beers at midnight and a magarita in the evening (they didn't even check my ID) and a party that I threw on the weekend. Like I wrote before, I thought I would feel different turning 21, but really it felt a whole lot different turning 20 than 21....anyhow, not as many people came at the party and I am left with loads of booze lying around since nobody was really drinking.

My Bhratashree and Bhabhishree gifted me with a 60GB ipod on my birthday! I was kinda suprised to see it....coz me and my bro think ipod is cool but too expensive, and he ended up gifting the top-of-the line! further, I had set ipod as my reward for getting good grades this quarter (defined as 3.5-4.0) and had no motivation to study after that :p

I was given a nice cake facial thanks to Deepa and dinner at Mongolian Barbeque.

After that, time rolled on with classes and shit due every now and then before I knew, the quarter is over and I'll be flying to california for summer school! I am excited to get out of OSU campus!

And we celebrated Ankit's birthday yesterday with a nice 'curd egg' on his face! and when Ashwin came down, Ankit, Ashwin, Chad and me went to a Greek Restaurant....where Ankit had a pleasant suprise and the food was amazing!

The month of May will be remembered for "una obsesion" and the following lyrics from a song.
   Hey, maybe just a smile
Oh hey, did you know that I can dance, could we talk for a while?
Well, I think you're smart, you sweet thing
Tell me your sign, I'm dying here

What will June bring?
